The Birth of Bonita - From Ash to Gold

Bonita was not created from a business idea. It was born from a journey - a journey of awakening, surrender, healing and transformation, but before that, there was a different version of me... For twenty years, I lived on autopilot, my life was shaped around responsibilities, expectations and the needs of others. I was constantly trying to please, to be what others needed me to be and somewhere along the way I lost myself. I felt a hollow emptiness inside, a shallow existence where I couldn't prioritise myself without a crushing of guilt. I was insecure, dependent and stuck. My hands felt tied, my purpose lay dormant and I could not find a way out.  Little did I know my life was about to undergo a profound transformation. 

The Great Awakening

My shift didn't start with a gentle push from the universe; When I surrendered and accepted my present without the anxiety of the outcome, I finally stopped fighting my reality, the "autopilot" switched off. Through meditation, yoga and deep spiritual practice I detached from the future and became fully anchored in the present moment.

For seven years, my world was a "flame of turmoil". I faced a complex divorce taking place in two different countries, financial crises that left me homeless twice, I had no stability, no clear directions and I was living purely on survival mode, once again, I was lost...completely lost and scared.  The people I encountered reflected my deepest fears, wounds and shadows, life itself was not gently asking me to wake up -  life itself was stripping me off piece by piece and taking everything away, lastly when I thought I had reached my limit, then came the ultimate test: Two cancer diagnoses at once, one rare and highly aggressive and luckily the second one curable but still terrifying.

The Reset: Finding Stillness in the Flames

As I set with that diagnosis, I felt numb. I was on this journey solo, with no physical hand to hold. In that moment of absolute vulnerability, I wiped away my tears and spoke to the Divine. I didn't ask for the pain to go away; I asked for Strength and Wisdom to transform it. I accepted the challenges by taking full responsibility for my journey and experience. I chose to see chemotherapy not as a poison, but as a "reset" for my entire life - a clearing of old wounds and past lives. I found stillness in the mist of the chaos becoming an observer of my own life rather than a victim of it and then I realised I was not afraid anymore I knew the storm would end, I was guided too something magnificent and extraordinary.

I survived. I woke up. I grew stronger and wiser and from those ashes, Bonita Jewels of Brazil was born.

The 4 Pillars of Bonita

My brand is the bridge between my struggle and my sovereignty. Each piece of jewellery is designed to be a talisman - a physical reminder that no matter what life throws at you, you carry a light that cannot be extinguished.

 We stand on four sacred pillars:

1. Strength: The resilience found when you have nothing left but your faith:
2. Power: The moment you stop being "dependent" and step into your own sovereignty;
3. Overcoming: The ability to find peace even when an avalanche of events is unfolding before you;
4. Transformation: The process of becoming who you were always meant to be.

The Bird 

The bird in our logo is inspired not only by the exuberant fauna of my beautiful home Brazil, but also by the deeper symbolism of the PHOENIX  it is a reminder that you can be reduced to ashes and still be born, stronger and more vibrant than before.

Our colours - YELLOW/GOLD for abundance and GREEN for healing - They reflect the Brazilian flag and the heart of a country known for its spiritual energy and powerful gemstones.
